New e-paper device:Emue Technologies E Ink credit card

The Emue Technologies credit card has an embedded display, a 12-button numeric keypad and a microprocessor. The embedded battery should last for at three years. The idea is that when users want to authenticate a phone or online transaction, the enter the transaction info on the keypad (and also their PIN code), and the card generates a one-time authentication code.

The company also has an Authentication application for J2ME phones and the iPhone.

VISA are currently testing Emue's embedded authentication technology.

New e-paper device:Western Digital My Book Studio 2 / Elite

The My Book Studio 2 and the My Book Elite are external disks from Western Digital. Both come in different sizes (up to 2TB). The Elite connects via USB, and the Studio 2 includes a Firewire port, too. 

The display shows your own disk 'label' and how many GB are left. It also shows a visual bar.
